Money

We have been learning more about money today.

She can tell the difference between a penny, a nickel, a dime, and a quarter.
She can tell me what each is worth.
She can add them together correctly when I give her a handful of coins.


But I can't seem to convince her that it is better use only three coins to make thirty-six cents instead of five.
Kindergartners don't sense the need for efficiency.

Come to think of it, I'm not so sure why it matters all that much anyway.
