School

Here, to live is to learn, and to learn is to live.

Thus, we don't take a break for Saturdays, holidays, or summer. We can't. It would be like asking us to take a break from breathing.

For the oldest:

Math informs us how many hours we must wait until we leave for the library.

Reading is cuddle time and entertainment.

Writing is our tool for talking to Daddy through email when he is away.

For the middle child:

Math is counting the number of forks to set on the table.

Reading is pointing out print on grocery store signs or on Daddy's shirt.

We learn to write by scribbling circles and straight lines in our coloring books.

And for the youngest:

Math begins with the "1, 2, 3!" before being picked up.

Reading is baby books being part of the bedtime routine and singing our "A, B, C's."

Writing is learning how to hold a crayon and not eat it.

Homeschool begins at birth and permeates every part of our lives.

And I love it.
